Broadband Policy Summit IV
View the Summit program
Dear Colleague,
As the Bush Administration enters its final stretch in office, the FCC has a variety of key broadband issues on its plate. And the 110th Congress is under pressure to pass a number of communications measures before the Fall election preempts its attention. In parallel, the unprecedented 700 MHz spectrum auction will undoubtedly have wide-ranging impact on the global broadband landscape.
Amidst all of this pending change, one thing remains constant — Pike & Fischer’s Broadband Policy Summit remains Washington’s preeminent communications forum. On June 12-13, 2008 “BPS IV” will once again help top-level executives, legislators, regulators, lobbyists, policy makers, investors and technologists come to grips with the swirling forces of technology change, leadership shifts, policy changes and evolving business models.
Who Attends The Summit? Executives, investors, legislators, regulators, lobbyists, policy makers, attorneys and technologists who need to understand the coming wave of business and legal changes affecting high-speed Internet access, IP telephony, video-over-IP, broadband content and communications competition. View who has attended our previous three Summits.
Why Attend BPS IV? To gain a better understanding of the swirling forces affecting change in the communications sector, to meet, greet and network with the insiders and policy makers shaping our nation’s broadband future and to ensure your competitive position within an environment of change in Washington.
What Will BPS IV Cover? The latest inside information about broadband and IP communications business, legislative and regulatory trends, and how policy makers are grappling with the unprecedented pace of broadband-related service advances. View the detailed Summit program.
We are further pleased to announce that our Summit program has been expanded to include additional hard-hitting topics and a broader array of broadband players. Here are just a few highlights of what you can look forward to as a Summit participant:
- Our lineup of hard-hitting keynote addresses has been expanded from three to
four. In the newly created closing keynote slot we’ll welcome
Ambassador David
Gross, U.S. Coordinator for International Communications and Information Policy,
U.S. Department of State, who will offer Summit attendees his insightful
international broadband perspectives. Our keynote lineup will be rounded out by FCC Commissioner Michael J. Copps, FTC Commissioner J. Thomas Rosch and a Member of Congress to be announced shortly.
- You asked, we delivered – Our new Wireless Broadband panel on Day 1 will gather
top industry experts to discuss what the wireless broadband future looks like,
what policies will spur or stifle it, and how the 700 MHz spectrum auction will
change the landscape.
- EXCLUSIVE Economic & Regulatory Survey Results – Summit attendees will receive a complimentary copy of Pike & Fischer’s inaugural, exclusive Communications Industry Survey: Views on the U.S. Economic & Regulatory Climate. The survey will decipher media and telecom professionals’ opinions on the fate of broadband communications in the current political and economic environment, and what they expect to happen under a new Administration. A $599 value – FREE to all registered attendees.
You’ll also have ample time to meet-and-greet with the top policy minds in the space, and to network with Pike & Fischer’s own team of Broadband Advisory Services analysts.
Broadband Policy Summit IV is the one annual policy event you can’t afford to miss. Stay ahead of the curve and in front of your rivals – reserve your seat at the Summit today!
